Giselle Loren Lazzarato (born Gregory Allan Lazzarato ; April 20, 1992), known professionally as Beautiful Gigi , is YouTuber Canada, a television personality, model socialite, actress, and glamor.
In 2008, Lazzarato began uploading video blogs to the YouTube streaming platform. His videos gained popularity and made online followers for him. Over the following years, he uploads regularly to his channel along with creating and starring in the reality program of The Avenue (2011-13). After a short break Lazzarato gained media attention after coming out as a transgender woman in 2013. During 2014, Lazzarato documented his transition through his social media profile, especially through his video revolving around his cosmetic procedure, which gained viral status. In 2016, an incident involving Lazzarato was deported from Dubai, due to its transgenderism, resulting in widespread media coverage. Lazzarato is the subject of This is Everything: Beautiful Gigi (2017), a documentary directed by Barbara Kopple following her life during the transition. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and later had a limited theatrical release and several awards including Streamy.
In addition to his personality, Lazzarato has experimented in acting and modeling. Its performance credits include starring in the short film fellow YouTuber Shane Dawson I Hate Myselfie (2015) and its sequel, along with guest appearances on the Project Runway All Stars series Me and My grandmother , Good Work , and Trailblazers , among others. Lazzarato is the son of David, a business executive, and Judith Lazzarato (nÃÆ' Â © e Belding). His family consists of Italian, Lebanese, and French heritage and he grew up in Roman Catholicism.
As a young adult, Lazzarato is a national ranked dive champ. He attended St. Francis Asisi and later Mississga Catholic Secondary School and attended George Brown College. At George Brown, he studied fashion, but eventually left the campus to focus on his YouTube career. Her mother, Judith, died of leukemia on February 3, 2012, at Princess Margaret Cancer Center, Toronto.

2008-13: Starters on YouTube
Before his transition, Lazzarato became known as Gregory or Greg, and operated the YouTube makeup tutorial channel that began in 2008. He started his makeup when the ninth grader, when a friend mentioned seeing Michelle Phan's makeup video on YouTube. At the age of 19 he came out, identifying as a gay man. Since the transition period, her YouTube channel has begun to include more vlogs, fashion and lifestyle videos. 2011-13: The Avenue

2014-16: Transition and gender appearance

She often attends BeautyCon conventions to meet fans and sit in panels about cosmetic makeup and techniques. Lazzarato has used his internet celebrity status to bring awareness of transgender issues, LGBT communities, and anti-bullying. Her shadow is featured in a transgender celebrity montage on ABC <2020 documentary on Caitlyn Jenner's transition.
In early 2015, Lazzarato starred in the short film debut of YouTuber Shane Dawson I Hate Myselfie as Amber. He said he saw Rachel McAdams portrayal of Regina George in Mean Girls (2004), while playing Amber. Since then he has changed his role as Amber in I Hate Myselfie's sequel. In May, it was announced that Lazzarato would partner with Crest Canada to become the new Crest White Brilliance Line faces.
In June 2015, it was announced that Lazzarato has teamed up with singer Miley Cyrus and has joined Marie Claire's Cyrus' Happy Hippie Foundation "#InstaPride" campaign. The campaign included a series of photos and announcements by Cyrus that he and Lazzarato were working on a secret project. The project then turned to spread in American magazine, Marie Claire, featuring both. Lazzarato signed a partnership with 'Too Faced Cosmetics' where he starred in the commercial film cosmetics " Better Than Sex " which aired on July 9, 2015. At the MTV Video Music Awards 2015 Lazzarato, along with a group of drag queens, introduces Miley Cyrus to debut her Dooo It! from the new album Cyrus Miley Cyrus and his Dead Petz .
In September 2015, Lazzarato had two pages spread in People magazine. She appeared in Entertainment Tonight as a special guest that same month. Lazzarato is featured in Kylie Jenner's "Kylie" app where she recorded several video tips. On September 18, she won the Streamy Award for "Best Beauty Series". It was announced on October 7 that Lazzarato will star in Adam Lambert's video for his song "Another Lonely Night".
2016: Dubai Incident
On August 9, 2016, Lazzarato was detained in the United Arab Emirates and had his passport taken by airport officials and immigration officials at Dubai International Airport. He was denied entry into Dubai for being a transgender woman, because the government did not recognize his sex as valid even though, according to Lazzarato, the sex in his passport states women and not men. The Dubai official, however, said that the sex in his passport states men. "Female imitation by men" is illegal in the UAE, and offenders can face up to a year in prison. Lazzarato was released after spending more than five hours in detention.
Tagar "#JusticeForGigi" appeared on Twitter, with fans and supporters calling for Lazzarato release and renewal in anti-LGBTQ legislation. It was not the first time a transgender was held in Dubai. In 2014, two Brazilian transgender women were also detained and passports were taken. Lazzarato, before leaving Dubai for Sweden, responded to the incident by calling for equality and legal protection for LGBTQ people.
2017-present: Continuous success, This is Everything
In January 2017, the documentary It's Everything: Beautiful Gigi , starring Lazzarato, directed by Barbara Kopple airing at the Sundance Film Festival. On June 11, Gorgeous watched a documentary with Katy Perry on Perry's four-day streaming event, Katy Perry Live: Witness World Wide.
In June 2017, Lazzarato was named the Time Magazine list of the 25 most influential people on the Internet.
Personal life
Lazzarato, previously identified as bisexual, came out as a lesbian in a YouTube video on September 14, 2016. Lazzarato is a Roman Catholic who practices and describes himself as a religious person. Lazzarato is dating Natalia Williams, an heiress and member of the Getty family. In March 2018 Lazzarato and Williams announced their engagement.
Transitions
Lazzarato announced that she was a transgender woman in December 2013. Since then she has undergone electrolysis, shaved trachea, hormone replacement therapy, facial feminization surgery, nose surgery, and breast augmentation. He legally changed his name to Gigi Loren Lazzarato on March 8, 2014.
In the September 2015 issue of People Magazine, Lazzarato credits the transgender model and performing artist Amanda Lepore and his mother's death for triggering the transition.
