Chang Gung University ( CGU ; Chinese: ???? ) is a private university in Guishan District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan.

Histori
The institute was founded as Chang Gung Medical College in April 1987. Engineering and management students have been accepted since 1993, when the name was changed to Chang Gung Medical and Technology College . In July 1997, the name was changed again to Chang Gung University . In February 2011, Chang Gung University and Arizona State University established an international Biosignatures Center aimed at prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment of cancers and other diseases. The center will be directed by the recipient of the Arizona State Nobel Prize Leland H. Hartwell. The Formosa Plastics Group Museum is located on campus.

Chang Gung University was ranked 498th in the 2011 Performance Rankings for Scientific Work for the World University. Chang Gung University is also the only private university among the six domestic universities that enter into the top 500 universities of the world. According to the 2011 Performance Rating of Scientific Paper for World Universities announced by Taiwan Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Board, Chang Gung University achieved fantastic results. Closely attending National Taiwan University, National Cheng Kung University, National Jiao Tong University, Tsing Hua National University, and Yang Ming National University, it is the only private university among six domestic universities to enter the top 500 worlds. In the specialized field of clinical medicine, Chang Gung University is ranked 255th in the world. In the flow of science, electrical engineering research of Chang Gung University is ranked 290th of the world.
