UF Health Jacksonville is a teaching hospital and medical system from the University of Florida in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. Part of the wider Florida University Health system, including UF Health Jacksonville's 603-bed hospital, UF Health North 92 bed hospital, related clinics, and the Jacksonville UF Health Science Center campus. Together with UF Health Shands Hospital, UF Health Jacksonville (formerly Shand Jacksonville) is one of two academic hospitals in the UF Health system, and serves 19 counties in Florida and some in Georgia.
The downtown campus is home to the Level I trauma center in North Florida and, in 2006, became home to one of several national proton therapy treatment facilities. Through association with the University of Florida, it offers classes and degrees through the College of Medicine universities, the College of Nursing, and the College of Pharmacy.
