Torpedo Motor Boat PT-658 is a ship of PT-625 -the 78-foot Higgins class (24 m), built for United States Navy during World War II. PT-658 is a prime example of the development of the US Navy's Torpedo Marine Vessel during World War II. PT-658 was in the last group of four vessels delivered from the NObs-1680 36-boat contract, October 1944 to PT-625 to PT-660 . Service history

PT-658 was one of a group of PT vessels assigned to MTB Squadron 45 in April 1945, to be transferred to the Soviet Union under Lend-Lease. Recovery

Veterans' special group PT Boat formed the Save the PT Boat, Inc., non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. The group restored PT-658 to its original 1945 configuration between 1995 and 2005. PT-658 is now fully functional and afloat, one of only two restored US Navy ships that currently operating today.

PT-658 ' s restoration included (non-functional replica) complete weaponry four Mark 13 Torpedo, two twin.50 caliber Browning M2 machine gun, 40 mm Cannon bofor, two Oerlikon 20 mm cannon, two 5-inch 8-cell rocket launchers, 5 Rocket pairs, two Mark 6 300 pounds (140 kg) of TNT depth, and a 60 m M2 mortar. PT-658 The Heritage Museum is located in Portland, Oregon at Swan Island Industrial Park. She is tethered to Pier 307 from Vigor Industrial Shipyard in October 2013. When initially launched in 1945, PT-658 imposed a camouflage paint scheme, (in particular, Camouflage Measure 31-20L) and was restored in early 2011. In May 2012, an original SOA Radar mast (obtained from a loan from PT Boats Inc. of Germantown, Tennessee) was installed along with a precise radar dome, signal generator and waveguide. Additional equipment further added by the crew in 2014 includes the original IFF dipole antenna at home graphics and radar poles, and M2 60mm US mortar on the right side of the bow.
