Central Point is a city in Jackson County, Oregon, United States. The population is 17,169 in 2010. The city shares the southern border with Medford and is part of the Medford metropolitan area. Central Point is the Jackson County Fair house that took place in July.

History
Isaac Constant, a pioneer who settled here in 1852, named the location of Central Point because of its location at a crossroads in the middle of Rogue Valley. At this point, the north-south main road from the Willamette Valley meets the road between Jacksonville and the settlements along the Rogue River. Around 1870, Magruder Brothers opened a shop at a crossroads. In 1872, a post office was established here under the name Central Point .
