Senseez Pillows
Stephanie founded Senseez Pillows in 2012, after making the first vibrating cushions in her basement to help her son with his particular needs. Companies are rapidly growing, creating pillows for children with sensory needs, especially those with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing disorders. In 2013, Stephanie appeared on CBC's episode of Dragon's Den, successfully throwing her pillow at the investors. Working with Lekotek in 2014, Stephanie helps demonstrate the clinical benefits of their pillows and vibrations as a therapeutic and occupational therapy tool for adolescents on the autism spectrum. The study found that Senseez helps in the daily life of 72% of the participating children.
Stephanie was awarded the 2015 Gold Stevie Award for Women Entrepreneurs of the Year for her success with Senseez Pillows. She and Senseez pillows were also featured on the cover of the Montreal Families magazine in March 2016.
