Newnan Piedmont Hospital (PNH) is a 136-bed acute care hospital located at its new location at 745 Poplar Rd in Newnan, Georgia, offering 24-hour emergency services, women's and general medical services/surgical services. Diagnostic services include CT, nuclear drugs, MRI, PET, ultrasound and fluoroscopy. A full range of medical/surgical services including laparoscopic surgery, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, sleep study and cardiac catheterization and rehabilitation, and wound/hyperbaric treatment.
A new Piedmont Hospital Newnan opened May 8, 2012. "The new hospital is located on 105 acres along Poplar Road near I-85. At 362,376 square feet, 136 bed hospitals will have 14 postpartum beds, 18 places critical care bed and 104 general medical/surgical beds.This facility will also feature eight operating rooms and 23 patient rooms in the Emergency Department. "

History
Newnan Hospital was founded in 1836, 10 years after Newnan was founded. It served as the first aid site during Sherman March to the Sea. The facility was faced with competition in 1965 by Coweta County General Hospital (where the PNH was previously located). At the beginning of the 21st century CCGH in bankruptcy and in need of help. In 2000, Emory Healthcare purchased a 50% interest in CCGH from the current owner of Hospital Corporation of America, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee and made it the Emory-Peachtree Regional Hospital, the first Emory hospital south of I-285,. In 2004, Newnan Hospital bought EPRH in 2004 after EPRH filed for Chapter 13. In 2006, Piedmont was considering a brother hospital for the Fayette Community.
