TMC Hospital Hill has the busiest adult emergency room in the Kansas City metropolitan area with more than 60,000 visits per year. Located in Kansas City City Center, Missouri across from Children's Mercy Hospital. It connects directly with the UMKC medical school and provides a training base for its six-year and four-year medical programs. Students from UMKC medical schools rotate a total of six months in the TMC for their internal drug rotation, and begin their responsibilities at an outpatient clinic starting from the third year of their training, followed by graduation under the supervision of the attending physician. TMC consists of 194 beds, equipped with various service areas (ER, internal medicine, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, oral and maxillary surgery, ENT, ophthomology, cardiology, infectious diseases, radiology, GI, behavioral health, dermatology, pulmonary clinics, primary care clinics, physical therapy, occupational health, obstetrics and gynecology), and a 24/7 translation service. Located directly opposite Rahmat Children's Hospital and connected via skybridge, has access to pediatric transfers when needed.
