The Purdue University of Health and Human Sciences is the second largest college and one of the 11 major academic divisions, or College of Purdue. Undergraduate degrees at the College of Health Sciences and Human Sciences provide preparation for professional schools (medical, dental, physical therapy, occupational therapy, audiology, speech pathology, physician assistants, nursing practitioners, etc.) and outstanding careers. The Hospitality and Tourism Management Program has been ranked first in the United States. During 2014, Lyle's-Porter Hall for interprofessional health was established in the Purdue campus housing clinic for the academic unit of Speech Language Speech (SLHS), Nursing, Nutrition, Health and Kinesiology, and Psychology Sciences and IU-School of Medicine - West Lafayette; students selected to continue medical school at Purdue campus have the opportunity to receive a PhD from Purdue and MD from IU. During Summer 2016, the new MRi T3 facility will be built across Lyles-Porter to add human medical imaging facilities to the West Lafayette campus.

History
The Faculty of Health and Human Sciences was founded in 2010 from the reorganization of some of the academic units in Purdue. These include the School of Nursing, the School of Health Sciences, the College of Consumer and Family Sciences, and several departments of the College of Liberal Arts.
Ratings
The Hospitality Management and College Management program - undergraduate, master and doctorate - has been ranked first in the country by industry recruiters and evaluations conducted by Virginia Tech implementing the US. News & amp; World Report methodology to the academic unit level. In addition, Purdue's graduate pathology speech program is ranked number 5 in the country, tied together with Northwestern University and the University of Wisconsin - Madison according to US News & World Report. In addition to this ranking, there is no current national rank for the Faculty of Health and Human Sciences. Although there is no ranking system, Purdue Radiological Health (well known to protect individuals from nuclear radiation), Environmental Health, and Occupational Health programs consistently have a 100% work placement rating.
Accelerated Degree
In keeping with Purdue's goal of providing higher education with the highest proven value, the College of Health and Human Sciences offers several accelerated undergraduate/professional degrees. Undergraduate students in the field of Health and Human Sciences have the opportunity to complete an accelerated Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with concentrations in Family and Community Health, Environmental Health Sciences, and Health Statistics. Students in Radiology Health Science with concentrations in Pre-Medical Physics have the opportunity to complete an accelerated 5 years (4 1) degree in Medical Physics; students must choose either the Imaging Diagnostic track or Radiology Physics Therapy (radiation oncology). Exceptional students majoring in Preprofessional Health Sciences have the opportunity to complete an accelerated MBA through the Krannert School of Management. Bachelor in Occupational Health Sciences has the opportunity to complete an accelerated 5 year master's degree in Hygiene Industries. Gaining admission to the program will enable students to earn a B.S. and M.S. in just five years, saving one full year of tuition and adding a year in the workforce!
